My Background and Vision

I initially learnt to play music from my dad when I was a child, by me simply watching what he does.  Over time I started to learn to play songs by ear which developed my skills further by giving me the ability to play any song I desired.  I then continued to play various songs on my keyboard where I soon became familiar with scales and chords.  I then taught close family members and friends how to play songs they love and as this developed, did I come to realise that you are able to play the keyboard without having to take piano lessons and read music. 

 

Many people I have taught of all ages have enjoyed their learning where this course has acted as a stepping stone to them wanting to go into music at a more professional level without being 'put off' from the outset where sometimes learning to read music or taking on production courses can be daunting, where it is very easy for people to lose interest.  This method of learning certainly gives students a headstart when moving forward in their careers in music, making it alot easier when taking on professional music lessons or courses. This course also enables students to eventually learn to play or record music by themselves as with myself where I have played in various bands and produced and released music over the last 20 years.

I can’t imagine anything else in life that would bring me such reward or satisfaction then teaching others how to play the keyboard, and I truly believe that anyone who puts in the time and effort to practice can succeed.

I don’t believe money should stand in the way of learning, which is why I am proud to offer a range of classes at affordable prices.
